Dr Jonathan Choi is Chairman of the Hong Kong-based Sun Wah Group, the Toronto-listed Sunwah International Limited and the Hong Kong-listed Sunwah Kingsway Capital Group. Dr Choi has led Sun Wah Group, established in 1957, into a diversified conglomerate in: Financial Services, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Seafood and Food, Technology and Media with subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Southeast Asia, Canada, the USA and Australia. Sun Wah Group has invested in Vietnam for more than 40 years starting with Seafood business and expanding into Real Estate and Finance. Dr. Choi holds many positions including: Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the PRC, Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Standing Committee Member of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Council member of The Preparatory Task Force for the Economic Development Commission of HKGSAR, Chairman of the China-India Software Association, Chairman of the Hong Kong - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, Council Member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Chairman of the Hong Kong–Japan Business Co-operation Committee.
