DFJV’s strategy is to build up the technology marketplace in Vietnam by focusing investment in four sectors: Internet, telecommunications, media and clean energy. DFJV will invest in 2-3 anchor companies in each sector to create a network, user base and market share. By taking advantage of synergies between investee companies, DJFV will be well-placed to benefit from the convergence of the focus sectors over a 4-6 year time frame.

The investment focus of the fund will include:

• Companies that replicate successful/proven business models.
• Established ITC companies entering the Vietnamese market. 
• State-owned companies undergoing privatization in ITC sector.
• Companies with experienced entrepreneurs of Vietnamese descent, particularly those with ties to the overseas Vietnamese technology community.
